Trying to find the time to get a nutritional and easy breakfast at the start of anyone’s day can be tough. At the studio we are up at 5 am every morning cleaning and setting up before the first class, often Minh our myself are teaching that early morning class as well.
Some mornings it doesn’t seem like there is time for more than a up of coffee.
Smoothies seem like a natural fit. But sometimes I like a little more texture to my meals.
It seems that I too have jumped on the smoothie bowl bandwagon. You can eat it with a spoon or suck up parts of it with a straw. Top it any way you like.
I find that a breakfast like this will keep my going way past lunch time.
DRAGON FRUIT SMOOTHIE BOWL
Yield: 1 smoothie bowl
1 cup chopped frozen mango
1 cup chopped frozen pineapple
1/1 cup chopped frozen dragon fruit
2 handfuls of baby spinach
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
Things to put in your bowl:
chopped fresh fruit of choice: strawberries, banana, mango and shredded coconut
Combine the smoothie ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Pour about 1/4 cup of granola into the serving bowl. Top with the smoothie. Top with more granola and fresh fruit of choice.
